Now, if only I would remember that! I had happy hour with one of my friends on Friday night, so, we decide on the place to meet, just figure we’ll grab a couple of beers and get on with our weekends. Nooooo, apparently we regressed to being 21 again. We drank quite a bit at the bar, decide to go to a movie. But, go to the late movie without more beer? Of course not….so we decide to hit up the beer store and then fill our purses with the beer for the movie….yeah that made for a fun Saturday morning / afternoon when I hung out with my parents and idiot brother. Did I mention I was hung over as shit and having to deal with family, AND I drunk dialed my parents? What kind of dipshit am I? Seriously….anyway, we had fun, and that’s all that matters.

I was mistaken on my last post, I have a 3.94 or something, my A- in stupid class did bring my GPA down a bit, but, it’s still an A average and I’ll take it!

A smashburger is like cul*vers kind of, made to order and very, very good! I can’t really describe it properly, if TMP sees this, maybe she can chime in and explain better.

Other than that, I have my 2 classes this quarter, Accounting and it’s going well. The same instructor and a bunch of the same students from last quarter so it’s a fun group and I think it will be a fun quarter. Then my other class is going well too. I have heard a lot of people really like the instructor, and I hope I do too since I’ll have him for many, many of my business classes while I’m working on my degree. So far he seems pretty good, but it is kind of hard to tell after only 1 lecture. Overall, I’m hoping to maintain the GPA.

Much Belated Update

So, I was doing so well blogging for a while, then bam, totally got side tracked. Let’s see….

Signed a lease on some new digs. I got a sweet deal, and I’m pretty psyched about it. So, I will need help on the packing party. I have decided that I am going to hire movers and someone to clean after I move out. I am really looking forward to it now. I’m just so excited now that I found a place. Plus, it’s walking distance to one of the bars I freqent.

Finished the Stupid class with an A-. Not quite sure how that one happened. I didn’t do so well on the final, but I don’t care. Besides, an A’s an A, right?

Not sure what I got in Accounting, but I’m sure it will be an A, since I had an A at midterm and didn’t really drop the ball in that class.

Christmas was something else. Got snowed in at home (my place) didn’t make it up to my parents. Which was ok, as I wasn’t really digging on it anyway. Tomorrow I’m heading over to my grandma’s to hang with her. We got some bad news on Christmas day so, it pretty much put a damper on things.

Work is still insane our office moves that were supposed to happen a month ago haven’t happened yet and won’t happen for another month or so. We have a new manager starting after the first of the year, this will be the 3rd person in this position since I started with this company not quite a year ago. Whatever. I am still looking for something and we’ll see what happens.

I will be more than likely moving this spring. (At this point the only reason I won’t is if I don’t get cell service in the apartment).

I ran numbers and figured out I will only be paying $ 10.00 – $ 20.00 more per month than I am now and I will have underground parking, workout center, patio, tons of amenities and extra space that I don’t have now. Plus, a couple of girls are moving at work, so I will have plenty of boxes. Who wants in on the moving party?

I still haven’t finished my stupid paper for my stupid class. I got my collage done, didn’t get the picture though, can’t find my camera. It won’t be what he wants, but fuck it, he’s a dick and I really have no idea what he wants anyway.

I Should Be Doing Homework

Instead, I’m kind of in recovery today. My sister and I went casinoing last night. Holy hell, we did it up. Didn’t win too much, well enough to pay for the trip, but didn’t come home with lots of money. It was a good time, we don’t spend too much time together since we have a kind of rocky relationship, but in small doses we can have fun.

I should be working on my effing final for the stupid class. Still not 100% sure of the direction for this, so I’m just gonna bumblefuck my way though it, as always.

I am looking at another apartment tomorrow, I hope it is awesome and not super tons more than I am paying now. We’ll see what happens!

Almost done Christmas shopping! Have to buy 1 small gift for my sister, buy for my dad and grandparents. For those gifts I have NO idea!!!! But overall, mostly done and I’m happy with that!

Also got most of my cards addressed this weekend. Only have to write letters with 4 of them. I was so productive on stuff that could be put off. Not on work or school work, but I don’t care, I still got to cross things off of my to do list!

Something by Kelly Clarkson on the radio. I don’t really know the name of it. Yes, I can’t believe I just admitted that….

2. Have you ever had “buyer’s remorse” over anything?

Yep, like every black Friday! I have gone the last couple of years with the BFF and buy tons of stuff, but the next day it usually gets returned.

3. What is something in your life that you are thankful for now that you didn’t think you would be at the time of the event? (Something that seemed ill-timed, inconvenient or hurtful which turned out to be a good thing)

When I lost my job the summer of ’08. I did see the writing on the wall, and did enjoy my ‘summer’ vacation. But if I had not lost my job, I would not have made the decision to go back to school. As much as I hate my job most days, I am grateful for meeting my co-worker, who has become a very good friend. Those are the benefits, I just need to remember them more often.

4. Do you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade every year? If so, do you have a favorite float or balloon?

Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve ever watched it.

5. Share a quote, scripture, poem or lyric which has been an inspiration to you lately.

I don’t really have one, right now. Which is a little surprising, I usually always have a quote of the moment or something I cling to, to keep my sanity

7. What Thanksgiving food are you looking forward to?

I’m not having a Thanksgiving celebration this year. I usually skip it every couple of years. I’ve been invited to join a couple of friends and their families, but I am really looking forward to just hanging out at home by myself for the day and taking random naps.

8. What is your favorite book to read to children, or what was your favorite childhood book?

I’m not sure – I haven’t had to read to a kid in a very long time. When they’re a little older the Ramona books are fun as is Charlotte’s Web.

Dust bunnies, I have a lot of them .

10. Gift bags or wrapping paper?

If I don’t have to wrap, wrapping paper. Last year I paid my niece to wrap my gifts for me. It was a win-win, she got to make a few bucks and I didn’t have to wrap! But if I have to wrap, gift bags all the way!

11. Share an after-school memory from when you were younger. What was your routine like on an average day?

6th – 10th grade ride the bus to my dad’s office and play on the computers / homework / bug the hell out of him and then get home in time for supper. 11th and 12th grade, go over to my friend J’s house almost every day, or play practice and mess around, home for supper and then homework. Also, part of my Sr. year, I had to be home every day by 5 or so to make supper for the family. I didn’t work then, my parents had me quit my job, because we went to MI to visit family and my boss wouldn’t let me have the time off. So, since I quit my job with their blessing, my mom paid me to make supper every night since she worked and wasn’t home early enough to have supper on the table at our ‘normal’ time. It was a pretty good deal for both of us, I learned how to cook (it had to be a salad / veg / main course) every night and not pizza, and she didn’t have to worry about making it home for supper before the night’s activities.

12. “When you’re fishing, do you feel for the fish?”

Of course, if you don’t you can’t set the hook and you will never catch anything!

Outside my window…. A tree nothing exciting. Cops were out earlier, but they’re gone now..

I am thinking…. My tooth really freaking hurts and I am actually looking forward to going to the dentist on Tuesday to have this stupid root canal fixed, but I’m not excited about getting the bill for this.

I am thankful for….Antibiodics and pain killers.

To Move Or Not To Move, That Is The Question

Same rent as I am currently paying (or will be once I get my rate increase for the year)

200 sq. ft. larger than my current apartment

Storage locker included

Nicer complex / I believe less cop calls.

Dishwasher

Water is included in the rent (not currently)

Cons:

Parking may be an issue

Moving is a pain in the ass

I would be on the 2nd of 3 floors

I would not have Star*bucks, Wal*greens and the beer store in walking distance (I use all of them enough that this is a con)

Increase in electricity as it is a larger apartment

Unknown rent increases

Current Apartment:

Kind of crappy location but, I am safe here

I know what the rent increases are

Trader J*oe’s just opened up literally down the road from me. Me, who never grocery shops has been there 2 times in the last 4 days. It could be an addiction, I’m really not sure. But, I’ve been having fun on my adventures. I haven’t tried the three buck c*huck yet.

In other news, I’ve been looking at moving. I have an appointment with a complex not too far away from where I am now, but it’s bigger (like 200 sq. ft or more) and the same rent as what I’m paying now. It has better ameneties too. The only real downside is that there isn’t parking included they don’t have an underground lot, so it would be garages only, and it depends on where they are located, so I’m not quite sure what I want to do. I’ve been looking at other complexes as well, but they are priced a couple hundred more than I am paying now, and having underground parking isn’t worth that much to me. So, what I think will happen is, I’ll look at these places, get excited then decide I’m too lazy to move, so I’ll stay here for another year and continue to bitch.
